This was taken on the day of my first ever, cross country race. It was probably the best day of my life.
The day started off full of excitement and nervousness. The people in xc were super nice and welcoming like, Sharon, Eddie, Ed, John, Jeffrey, and Lisa. I remember trying to remember what Dave told me to do during the race and to stay hydrated. I think I drank too much water though because that was a race I’m sure I won’t forget.
I remember seeing my mom and dad there to cheer me on, and doing strides to warm up. I literally had butterflies in my tummy and it kept doing flops inside there. Just thinking about that race is making me nervous. I heard so much from other people who had run it before that the last hill was the worst. Then the race started and I ran as paced and fast as I could and even found myself passing people! I was in complete disbelief. Around every hill I could see/hear my dad cheering me on and telling me to keep going. At one point, Dave even said that I was doing a great job! I came to a hill and thought it wasn’t that bad. Then I realized that it wasn’t the hill everyone else was talking about .__. Right before that last hill, I recall hearing my dad say how I can do it and that there were only three other girls from WHS ahead of me. As I listened to my dad cheering me on, I sped and struggled up that hill and came speeding down. I even passed a fellow runner and the second I hit the finish line I realized how badly I had to go pee. The entire time I stayed there in line and almost fainted from all the blood rushing to my head and the numbness in my legs. I was sick that day, and had been for a while so I kept having a runny nose. Thankfully I managed to pull it together and beat my earlier time that had discouraged me when I initially started running.
When the race was over I remember laying down on the grass and slowly waiting for my legs to calm down enough and regain strength to start walking again. My mom and my dad were all around me and congratulating me on how well I paced myself. It was this inner desire and push to make sure I went beyond my best, that made me create a new personal best. After a few happy remarks from my parents and Dave, my mom left and I went along with my dad.
As we were walking he handed me some money, I think around $20 to go buy anything I wanted from this antique store he had found while he was trying to find a parking spot. As we walked into the store the ladies at the counter congratulated me on my race and I immediately found cute trinkets that fascinated me. In the end I successfully managed to decide on buying a small box to keep earrings and whatnot in, including the pair of earrings I saw. Just as I was making my purchase I saw this handbag and was immediately taken by how much it resembled a sea shell with a pearly milk white color.
Yeah, it was quite a special day (:

My best friend and I, we’re such cool kids, sittin’ in the same pose.
(Last year, freshman year, during lunch)
Oh. Well, uhm, I’m head over heels in love with this one guy. And we have this code for how we feel, and the code involves fruits. And fruit salads, is when we really miss each other. And he once said to me, Fruit Salads For Life, around a week after our first kiss. And I’d actually really like that. To be fruit salads, for life…
Corny, and cheesy, and very girly. I know. But I can’t help it.

So, I really really really like these flowers because they remind me of my happy years in school. Which was third grade, but I don’t know their name. Anybody know?

So, there were a bunch of geese in June across from Hooters on Hastings on my way to school. And they were there every morning for the longest of times, and they always moved like a family. One of the geese thought I was a threat and started honking at me the first day I saw them. So after a while, I decided to take a picture of them. I don’t like the quality of the picture, and I didn’t have time because I was getting late for school and the light had turned green, but it still shows the geese (:
